THE 5-Series Sport range effectively bridges the gap between the standard mid-size range and the M5 sports sedan. The predominate feature is appearance, the main cues being striking alloy wheels with low-profile tyres, "M" wheel design and branding inside and out, aggressive front airdam, aerodynamic side skirts, a boot-mounted spoiler and standard fog lights. The 2001MY update introduced a stronger look to the front lights with clear glass covers, round direction indicators and round front foglights in a revised under-bumper skirt.
