IN typical BMW style, the entire centre console area and its control are turned toward the drive, accentuating the "cockpit" feel. The on-board computer complete with TV screen dominates the design and it is necessary to thoroughly read the manual to come to grips with it all. A trip computer is included in the display and provides information on average fuel consumption, range to empty, average speed and ambient temperature as well as the time. Power window controls sit either side of the gear lever while the armrest lid flips back to allow easier gearshifting. The multi-function sports steering wheel houses the cruise and stereo controls controls.
