ANTICIPATION can be a dangerous thing. With BMW’s 320d finally here, after wooing hardened European (and diesel) critics, the first turbo-diesel 3 Series to ever be offered in Australia might not be able to meet our unbelievably high expectations. And, making life harder for it is news that the no-brainer wagon version isn’t coming. So will we be disappointed, as we so often are, with another prestige European that's earned a glittering reputation forged abroad? Or is the BMW 320d really one of the best new cars you can buy?
