THERE'S no doubting what BMW wants its 318i customers to do - spend some more money to upgrade to alloy wheels. How else can you explain the multi-slotted plastic wheel covers that come standard? They're the one blot on the car's styling landscape that - unsurprisingly - is cured by the optional alloy wheels, the same set which comes standard on the more expensive Executive model (and pictured here).
