THE quattro version of Audi's delicious TT coupe turns out to be less a smoking street projectile than a nicely tamed sports car. But the TT has more than enough character to be appealing and any extra power would always be welcome. With constant four-wheel drive plus electronic stability control, the Audi is close to foolproof. The only noticeable downsides are a six-speed gearshift less smooth than the two-wheel drive car's five-speed, and a momentary pause as the turbo engine gathers power.
