SIX-SPEED manual transmission is the only gearbox choice in the TT quattro, replacing the five-speed box used in the two-wheel drive version. The three-shaft gearbox separates the shafts used to separate the first four ratios and fifth, sixth and reverse. Gear selection is by cable to control vibration but lever travel has been minimised. The three-shaft gearbox is more compact and uses a magnesium casing to control weight.
