limited-run special priced from $102,900 plus on-road costs and including “exclusive equipment and sporty details on the exterior and interior”.

Just 555 examples of the Sportback model will be available worldwide, made to commemorate 10 years of the sporting small SUV. Audi Australia did not say how many examples were allocated for the local market.

Powered by Audi’s sizzling 294kW and 480Nm turbocharged five-cylinder petrol engine, the RSQ3 Sportback Edition 10 Years is due in local showrooms from the second quarter of this year.

Audi Australia says the anniversary variant builds upon the already outstanding donor model, adding black-painted bespoke 21-inch alloy wheels to match the blac badging and brake calipers.

Inside are heated RS front seats with contrasting copper honeycomb stitching and carbon-fibre backing. Contrasting stitch work also features on the black Alacantara steering wheel and gear knob, and in the RS-branded floor mats.

The RSQ3 Edition 10 Years is offered in Dew Silver matte effect or Chronos Grey metallic paint. Optionally, the vehicle’s brake calipers are also available in anthracite grey, red, or blue.

Further differentiating the commemorative RSQ3 are “numerous” add-on parts in black or gloss black to “emphasise the exclusive look of the edition”. These include darkened matrix LED headlights with dynamic indicators and wing mirror caps, roof frame, and window and door trims.

The 10 Edition Years also features exclusive decorative inlays in carbon matte finish and edition-specific door sill trims that project a 3D red diamond onto the ground when the doors are opened.

Power continues to come from Audi’s 2.5 TFSI unit that provides drivers with a 0-100km/h time of 4.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. Drive to all four wheels is controlled through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission as standard equipment.

“This special edition pays great tribute to the best of SUV performance in the RSQ3 Sportback,” said Audi Australia director Jeff Mannering.

“Australia as a market is so performance-focused, and I have no doubt that owners will enjoy exclusive RS touched in this limited-edition model.”
