RARELY does the opportunity come to legally stretch the legs of a genuine supercar on public roads, but Audi’s R8 V10 Plus is being given free reign – well almost – to exercise its considerable abilities on some of Australia’s best roads as part of the Classic Adelaide Rally earlier this month.

In its Plus form, the two-seater mid-engined coupe is more purposeful in its attributes, delivering more power and sitting on suspension less likely to care about the occupants’ derriere and more about the adrenalin rush it can provide.

Nonchalant when cruising but able to cover ground with immense pace and poise, the Audi is among a stack of expensive machinery showing off to potential customers and the wider public.
