Audi introduces three- and five-year service plans

AUDI Australia has announced new three-year/45,000km and five-year/75,000km service plans that, for a one-off fee, will cover scheduled aftersales care on any of the brand’s product line-up, barring the R8 supercar.

Available to purchase at the point of sale or any time before the first 12 month/15,000km service, the upfront aftersales fee represents “significant cost savings” compared with paying service-to-service, according to Audi.

The cheapest vehicle in Audi’s range, the A1 light hatchback, features the most affordable service plans – $1480 for the three years and $1990 for five years – but even less mainstream models, such as the performance-orientated RS3 ($2320 for three years, $3380 for five years) and technological-flagship A8 diesel ($2640 for three years, $3670 for five years), also have plans.

Customers can bundle the service plan into vehicle financing at the time of purchase, and the plan is also able transferable to new owners if the Audi vehicle is sold before its expiration.

With the plan in place, servicing can be conducted at any authorised Audi dealership, while work is guaranteed to be carried out by brand-trained technicians and genuine parts.

Audi Australia aftersales director Jerome Figuiere said the introduction of the new plans were a result of improving ownership experience.

“Ensuring the very best ownership experience for our customers is at the heart of the new five-year service plans,” he said.

“We know that many of our owners value the peace-of-mind that comes with a packaged service plan, and so we have worked hard to extend and improve our offering. We’re delighted with the added value we can now offer our customers as part of their ownership experience.”
