THE 2.5-litre V6 turbo-diesel intercooled engine sits longitudinally in the engine bay and powers all four wheels permanently via a Torsen centre differential managed by an electronic stability program or ESP. Low-range transmission is available on manual V6 petrol models only and the diesel is available only with a Tiptronic five-speed transmission with dynamic shift program and sports mode.
