THE S6 uses a power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering system with a direct ratio of 16.2:1 to assist with sportier handling. Audi claims the combination of more rigid suspension pivots at the front and rear, plus the direct steering ratio, ensures active and precise steering response. The three-spoke airbag steering wheel adjusts electronically for reach and height, and is wrapped in leather. It requires only 2.8 turns from lock to lock. The turning circle is a cumbersome 11.7 metres.
