ALL A4 models use ventilated disc brakes at the front and solid discs at the rear. All have an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution and Brake Assist fitted standard, the latter forming part of the electronic stability program and serving to increase braking pressure during an emergency stop. The Brake Assist system is designed to assist all drivers, whatever their level of experience, achieve maximum deceleration at the wheel-lock limit.
