AUDI Australia wasn’t able to get the previous-generation RS3 into local showrooms, but the numbers suggest it was worth the wait.

More power, more torque and a price tag within striking distance of the segment leader gives the new A3 range flagship a shot at the title, as well as the option of magnetic ride control and a bloodline that stretches back to the halcyon days of the World Rally Championship and its five-cylinder quattro conqueror.

Audi has 350 paid-up orders and expects to sell more than double that it in its first calendar year, adding another string to the A3’s range and doubling the RS and Audi Sport sales tallies in the process.
