ALFA Romeo has rolled out special-edition versions of its small 147 hatch and two-door GT coupe, both named after the historic Italian racetrack in suburban Milan.

Both Monza-edition Alfas will be available into next year, with the GT Monza adding unique 18-inch alloy wheels, red-painted brake callipers, satin-effect external chrome highlights (including the Alfa ‘shield’ grille) and rear parking sensors.

Inside, the Monza coupe offers unique red-effect instrumentation and high-backed sports leather racing seats in soft Italian leather with red stitching and Alfa logos.

The Monza carries a $1000 price premium over the standard 2.0-litre JTS-engined GT, with a price of $53,990 as a manual and $55,990 in Selespeed auto guise.

Meantime, the Monza treatment is available across the 147 range, which Alfa says represents $6000 of added value.

The 147 Monza comes with unique 18-inch alloy wheels, sports leather racing seats, a chromed exhaust outlet, chromed gear knob on manual versions, red brake callipers, satin chromed door mirrors, sports pedals and a rear spoiler.

Opening the special-edition 147 range is the three-door Monza Twin Spark at $36,990 (manual) and $38,990 (Selespeed) – an increase of $1000 over the standard 147 Twin Spark.

The five-door 147 Monza carries $38,990 and $40,990 pricetags respectively (up $1500), while the five-door 147 Monza is priced at $41,990 – up $2000.
