New colours for BYD Shark 6 PHEV

BYD has added to the colour palette for its strong selling Shark 6 PHEV ute with the addition of two premium colours – Mist Grey and Outback Orange.

The $700 options join existing hues Great White, Deep Sea Blue, and Tidal Black, taking the total number of paint finishes to five.

While there are no other changes to the model this month, it is worth noting that the $57,900 model is setting record sales numbers in Australia with 2993 units sold in the month of June.

That figure takes the number of Shark 6 PHEVs sold to date this year to more than 10,000 – a figure that is likely to see the model finish the calendar year as Australia’s fourth best-selling ute.

In commenting on its new colour options, BYD Australia says that Outback Orange channels the spirit of the open road with a bold, vibrant and high-impact hue that captures that essence of rugged adventure, while Mist Grey brings a sleek, urban edge, a sophisticated matte finish with unmistakable street presence.

All colour options are available to order from today (1 August).
