Lexus adds capped price servicing to owner benefits

LEXUS has stepped up and expanded its Encore Owner Benefits program for 2020 with the addition of capped price servicing as well as a greater number of dining, hotel partnership and luxury lifestyle experience offers.

The new additions apply to any new Lexus vehicle purchased as of January 1 with the first three annual or 15,000km standard logbook services the for the CT, UX, IS, NX, ES, GS and RC costing $495 while the same services for the RX, RC F, GS F, LC and LS cost $595.

The only model not to boast 15,000km service intervals is the flagship LX SUV which demands servicing every 10,000km due to “the additional componentry and heavy-duty usage”.

Lexus chief executive Scott Thompson said the Encore Owner Benefits program would continue to be expanded throughout 2020 and that the company knew its customers’ time was precious.

“Lexus understands there is no greater privilege for its owners than time, so whether it be the ease of servicing, or the enjoyment of track days, dining nights and getaways, Lexus Encore will speed up or slow down time for our owners,” he said.

Also new for 2020 is a new manufacturer certified pre-owned program which will qualify the buyer for a one-year Lexus Encore membership – new car membership is three years – with applicable pre-owned Lexus vehicles purchased at a Lexus dealership, though capped price servicing is not included for vehicles outside the original three-year membership period.

To be eligible for the pre-owned program, the vehicle cannot be more than eight years old or have covered more than 120,000km, have a complete service history at a Lexus dealership and be subjected to a 120-point vehicle check, including full history check.

As of the start of this year, the full list of Encore Owner Benefits includes capped price servicing, delivered service loan car, 24/7 roadside assistance, invitations to exclusive events, dinners and drive days as well as additional benefits with partner luxury hotels.

Lexus says it will be launching a new app in April allowing Encore members to access and book events and offers in real time.
