AUSTRALIA’S oddly named ‘Micro’ segment (sub-B to Europeans) isn’t doing too well lately, with sales almost halving year-on-year. But the facelifted Micra just might reverse the slide, thanks to a fresh face and extra kit to tempt econo-car buyers.

The Nissan is bigger than your average baby, too, despite what the name applies.

But has the Japanese company done enough?
