BY TERRY MARTIN | 8th Mar 2012

BMW Group Australia recently held its 2011 ‘Mini Excellence’ awards, with Motorline Mini Garage in Daisy Hill, south of Brisbane, named Metropolitan Dealer of the Year and Geelong Mini Garage in Victoria taking out another Provincial DOTY award.

For the Geelong outlet, dealer principal Paul Gorell accepted its third DOTY award in the space of just four years.

Geelong Mini Garage is part of the big Rex Gorell Group, which also recently picked up the top rural dealership award for Jaguar in 2011.

Mini Motorline dealer principal Craig Rose, who also heads up BMW Motorline, collected yet another award for the high-performing family-owned Queensland dealership group, having won the 2007 and 2009 BMW Metropolitan DOTY trophies.

As with the BMW dealer awards program, the Mini Excellence awards – which were presented by Mini Australia national manager Kai Bruesewitz – are based on a range of factors, including all-round performance, professionalism and customer service.
