LOCAL car-makers are moving closer to the imported prestige brands in terms of price and luxury, even if they lag on detail quality and engineering finesse. The Series II version of the V8-engined Holden Caprice is a King among locally made luxury cars and leaves little wanting in terms of equipment levels or engine performance. To find an interior equally as massive, you'd need to look at a long-wheelbase S Class Mercedes - and an investment of more than $200,000.
