Available at launch in three flavours each with all-wheel-drive grip, the line-up kicked off with the turbo-diesel-powered 140kW/400Nm 2.0-litre xDrive20d.

The mid-tier xDrive30i was motivated by an 185kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, while the flagship at launch was the 190kW/620Nm 3.0-litre turbo-diesel xDrive30d.
