The Accord Coupe Concept will be unveiled next month at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Honda says the concept will convey exterior styling cues and design features that provide some clues to the direction of the next-generation Accord. It claims the car will "set a new benchmark for Accord and for the segment". The Accord is Honda’s best-selling model in North America and a consistently strong seller in Honda Australia’s line-up, with more than 15,000 Accord and Accord Euros sold this year. The vehicle’s Detroit debut will mark the first time an Accord concept car has ever been shown at a major auto show. Car and Driver magazine recently named the current-generation 2007 Honda Accord as one of the winners of its prestigious and highly competitive annual "10 best cars" award. The Accord has achieved "10 best" status 21 times in the 25 years that Car and Driver editors have conducted the competition, more than any other vehicle in the award’s history.
