Honda says the fact the system only uses energy as required improves fuel economy by two per cent. The steering box is in a more raised position and has a centre take-off, allowing a shorter nose and increasing track rod length to provide greater toe control. The steering goes from lock to lock in 2.8 turns and the turning circle is 11.8 metres (11.2 metres for the sedan).
