Type 7P5 Touareg

With an increasing demand from Volkswagen customers for a more on-road suited SUV, the German car-maker dropped its most off-road capable Touareg variant – the 4Motion as part of a large SUV line update in early 2015.

The three variants that remained were treated to a mild facelift, while the base 150TDI gained an extra 50Nm from its 3.0-litre V6 diesel, taking peak torque to 450Nm.

Extra kit such as bi-Xenon headlights and 20-inch alloy wheels increased the price of all Touaregs except the flagship V8 TDI R-line.
