Toyota 86

MY17 86

1 Nov 2016

TOYOTA'S rear-wheel drive 86 sportscar received its first major facelift in November 2016, with price rises between $300 to $800 applying across the four-variant range.

Manual versions gained an additional 5kW/7Nm for a revised engine output of 152kW/212Nm, which the automatic coupes maintained their previous power and torque figures.

Revised styling for the front and rear bumpers, as well as redesigned LED headlights and tail-lights rounded off the exterior changes.

A 'track' driving mode was also added, which enabled drivers to adjust the level of stability and traction control, including a 'fully off'' option.
