ACM21R Avensis Verso (Series II)

TOYOTA released a facelifted Avensis Verso at the end of 2003.

It fitted the contemporary Camry’s 2AZ-FE 2.4-litre twin-cam four-cylinder engine delivering 118kW of power at 5700rpm and 221Nm of torque at 4000rpm.

The only transmission on offer is a four-speed automatic gearbox.

A suspension revamp aimed to improve handling and ride properties was implemented, along with more responsive brakes, while climate control air-conditioning, cruise control and other previously optional features were standardised in the base GLX.

New headlights, grille, bumpers, bonnet, tail-lights and cabin trim give the Series II model away.
