900 Series II

A revised model range, new trim inside and out and a re-engineered 2.0-litre engine (now producing 87kW and 106kW for normal and turbo models respectively) were the main changes to the 1981 900, which also included a four-door sedan variant.

The three-door models temporarily vanished, thus leaving the five-door hatch GLi and GLi, S and Turbo sedans. A five-speed manual gearbox arrived in late ’81.
