Renault’s small car contender, the Megane, received some minor tweaks in 2013, including the introduction of a cheaper entry-level ‘Expression’ variant to kick off the range.
The Megane included some very subtle styling tweaks, including a new front bumper, a honeycomb grille and boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights, while Renault also tweaked the chassis setup, and stiffened the springs and front and rear dampers on the new GT-Line variants in an attempt to give the car more dynamic nous. Renault also took the opportunity to introduce a stylish new wagon bodystyle to the range and, with the limited edition GT220 powered by a de-tuned version of the 2.0-litre turbocharged unit from the Megane RS 265 the headline act.
The Megane hatch and wagon also shifted production from Turkey to Spain, except the CC (Coupe-Cabriolet) that was sourced from France.
