Mitsubishi Pajero Sport

Pajero Sport

1 Dec 2015

Mitsubishi’s ageing Challenger was relieved of duty by the new Pajero Sport in late 2015.

Although the name may have changed, the rugged four-wheel-drive SUV is still based on the Triton pick-up, sharing many components such as drivetrain, suspension and interior.

Entry level GLX came with an electric park brake, cloth interior, keyless entry, Bluetooth and 18-inch wheels, all as standard. Mid-spec GLS added dual-zone climate control, leather seats, automatic wipers and headlights and a rear diff lock. Range-topping Exceed came with blind-spot monitoring, heated seats and a rear DVD entertainment system on top of the GLX and GLS goodies.

Power came courtesy of a 2.4-litre turbo-diesel, which was good for 133kW of power and 430Nm of torque, and was mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
