R230 SL Series III

The ultimate two-seater elegant roadster for the fully-loaded, the Mercedes-Benz SL is a striking symbol of wealth.

Updated mid-way through 2008, the large two-door cruiser was given a new nose, spicier engines and raft of other revisions.

Prices also rose slightly and start north of $230,000 and top off at close to $500,000.

The engine line in is long and includes a base V6 with 232kW, a regular V8 with 285kW and a V12 with 380kW and 830Nm or torque.

If that isn’t enough AMG offers a new V8 with 368kW and 630Nm as well as a twin turbo V12 pumps out a massive 450kW and 1000Nm of torque.

A new active steering system has been introduced with the new model along with several minor changes.
