X205 GLC Coupe

1 Nov 2016

The GLC Coupe arrived in Australia 10 months after its more conventional GLC SUV sibling, bringing a more sporty offering to do battle with BMW's X4.

In addition to the most obvious aesthetic difference, the GLC Coupe also had the AMG-Line exterior and interior styling upgrades as standard, a sharper Dynamic Body Control suspension set up and larger wheels.

Customers were asked for approximately $12,000 extra over the cost of the GLC to step up to a Coupe.

Beyond the suspension tune, Coupes were mechanically identical to the wagon version, with two four-cylinder diesel engines and one turbo petrol four-pot on offer from launch. All variants sent power to the ground via a four-wheel drive system and a nine-speed automatic transmission.
