Isuzu D-Max

D-Max

1 Feb 2017

In February 2017 Isuzu introduced a facelifted D-Max line-up featuring a more efficient, cleaner and torquier version of its 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine with new six-speed manual or automatic transmissions to replace the previous five-speed units.

Additional standard equipment, and enhanced noise and vibration insulation also complimented the subtly updated styling.

Isuzu restyled the ute’s bonnet, front bumper, radiator grille and headlight, behind which the updated engine produced a carryover 130kW peak power output while the 430Nm torque figure represented a boos of 50Nm.

The engine was developed for Australia using real-world usage data from local customers, to meet incoming Euro 5 emissions standards. In addition to the extra torque, it was five per cent more fuel-efficient than its Euro 4-rated predecessor.
