Captiva 5

1 Dec 2009

Holden separated its popular Captiva SUV siblings in 2009 with the larger of the two becoming the Captiva 7 (for seven seats), while the smaller version was renamed Captiva 5.

Previously sold as the Captiva Maxx between 2006 and 2009, the 5 was available with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine and was marketed as a rival for the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 compact SUVs.

Holden packed the Captiva 5 with goodies like front and rear parking sensors, cruise control, a six-stacker CD and 17-inch alloy wheels, along with a full suite of safety gear (dual front airbags, side curtain airbags, electronic stability control, and traction control).
