Growing to 4.0L, the standard 148kW/348Nm I6 engine proved quieter and more powerful, while increased sound deadening and body rigidity helped refinement.

Safety received a boost with a stronger roof and pillars, and standard anti-lock brakes (ABS).

From early ’93 a centre-rear lap-sash seatbelt and an alarm/immobiliser became standard. New standard features: uprated 4.0L I6 engine, sports seats, upgraded audio, lap sash seatbelts, immobiliser (from early ’93) .

Engine options: 165kW/388Nm 5.0L OHV V8.
