The ultimate expression of the AU T-Series, the T3 cars (Falcon-based TE50 and TS50, and Fairlane-derived TL50) gained a 250kW/500Nm 5.6-litre “stroked” version of the venerable Canadian-built Windsor 5.0 V8, as well as a new grille, bumper and spoiler package that mirrored the XR8 V8 Supercar.
The 18-inch wheel package also became standard. Part of the 5.6 V8 transformation included a new crankshaft, ported cylinder head with high performance springs and valves, billet machined connecting rods, lightweight pistons and a revised camshaft profile.
This was the last application of the Windsor V8 in any Falcon-based vehicle.
