Nissan recalls 38,000 X-Trails due to a potential fuel filler tube rust problem

10 Mar 2006

NISSAN Australia is recalling about 38,000 X-Trail 4WDs to fix a faulty fuel-filler tube.

A spokesperson said letters would be going out to all affected X-Trail owners, but that no incidents had been reported in Australia.

The recall relates to the fuel inlet tube into the fuel tank, which may rust at the mounting bracket. The rust could then form a pinhole in the tube, possibly causing a leak.
