D-Mux: It would seem customers are especially happy with their D-Maxes and MU-Xs as well as the service delivered by Isuzu Ute Australia.

Isuzu Ute wins Roy Morgan ‘Best of the Best’ award for second time

14 Jun 2021

ISUZU Ute Australia (IUA) is going from strength to strength at the moment, having just won the ‘Best of the Best’ award for the second time at the annual Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.

Winning both the Best of the Best and Car Manufacturer of the Year awards, IUA notched up an average satisfaction rate of 94.92 per cent, just 0.04 per cent clear of runner up First Choice Liquor.

According to Roy Morgan chief executive officer Michele Levine, IUA continues its domination of car manufacturers with a fourth consecutive victory following Lexus’ win in 2019, IUA’s first win in 2018 and Skoda’s 2017 triumph.

“Isuzu Ute has excelled during an unprecedented year to take out the Roy Morgan ‘Best of the Best’ Award for a second time in 2020,” she said.

“Isuzu Ute’s exceptional year included seven monthly victories in the Car Manufacturer of the Year category to finish just ahead of last year’s winner Lexus with five wins.

“This not only speak volumes about the reliability and durability of Isuzu vehicles but also about the support team that works day in and day out to ensure their drivers are satisfied with their owner experience.”

IUA managing director Hiroyasu Sato said the award would drive the brand’s commitment to paying special attention to customer feedback and delivering on promises.

“Having just celebrated 200,000 unit sales since our arrival in Australia in 2008, Isuzu Ute Australia is honoured to have received another milestone complementing our continual drive for excellence within the Australian market,” he said.

“The Isuzu Ute brand has experienced exceptional growth over the last 13 years and with it is our commitment to customer satisfaction, evident through our comprehensive ‘Service Plus 6-7-7’ care package and promise to providing our owners with complete peace of mind.

“This recent success is not only testament to how the Isuzu D-Max ute and MU-X SUV are popular amongst our Australian drivers, but to how highly we regard the importance of our customer satisfaction and how that is only matched by the endless efforts of our Dealer Network and continued commitment of the entire Isuzu UTE team.”

Despite having just two models in its range, IUA is currently the eleventh-best-selling brand in Australia with the vast majority of sales this year coming courtesy of its new-generation D-Max.

Within its segment, the MU-X is continuing to prove popular with large SUV and 4x4 customers, currently occupying 9.3 per cent of the sub-$70,000 large SUV segment with 4203 to the end of May – comfortably making it the most popular ute-based offering.

An all-new MU-X based on the current D-Max is due to arrive in third quarter of this year, which should provide the brand with yet another booster shot of sales volume.

As for the rest of the satisfaction award winners, Apple iPhone finished third with a 94.1 per cent satisfaction rate, just ahead of Toyota in fourth (94 per cent) which won Major Car Manufacturer of the Year.

Fifth went to car insurer RAA (92.5 per cent), Beyond Bank Australia finished sixth (92.2 per cent) ahead of Aussie Broadband (91.3 per cent) and restaurant chain Schnitz (91.2 per cent) in seventh and eighth respectively.

Bunnings Warehouse sored ninth (91.1 per cent) while supermarket Aldi (91 per cent) rounded out the top 10.
