Top industry execs join FCAI

Winds of change: More than 200 “technologically innovative vehicles” will be launched in Australia over the next 18 months, which is driving change at the FCAI in terms of its staffing and operations.

Current, emerging technology at core of restructure of peak automotive industry body

- The peak industry body representing Australia’s car industry, the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI), has restructured its secretariat under chief executive Tony Weber and created a new committee that places a greater emphasis on current and emerging technology and communications.

 

- Announcing the changes in Melbourne this week, FCAI president Horst von Sanden, who is also CEO and managing director of Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific, said the organisation was intent on holding its position as “the authoritative voice of the industry, representing the major impact of some of the world’s most powerful brands”.
