Prestige used car dealer folds

IN a sign of the times, Sydney prestige used car dealer European Car Specialist closed down last Friday.

The European Car Specialist’s Sid Khoury operated the luxury car business on Parramatta Road, Croydon, in Sydney’s inner west, since 1979.

Mr Khoury more than doubled the size of his premises and built a new modern showroom and covered outdoor display area about five years ago, and went further upmarket with his stock of around 60 cars and motorcycles before the liquidation.

Mr Khoury also owns Stan Kass Motors, a specialist Mercedes-Benz workshop and combined detailing business in nearby Ashfield, that has also gone into liquidation.
