VOLKSWAGEN Australia has responded to criticism of the value-for-money in the Polo range by adding air-conditioning, anti-lock brakes and cruise control as standard across all models, after leaning on Germany for lower costs. The company has also simplified the model line-up and added new names linked to the sport of polo: Club, Match and Elite. The three models in the three-door line-up, which ranged from $19,800 to $22,500, are replaced with the Polo three-door Club at $19,990. There are two five-door Polos: the Match at $21,790 (previously the S at $21,990) and the Elite at $23,490 (previously the SE at $23,500).
