Pajero RX returns
Mitsubishi’s value-added Pajero RX special-edition returns to Aussie showrooms
9 Jun 2011
MITSUBISHI has announced the return of its special-edition Pajero RX to local showrooms, bringing a host of additional equipment over the entry-level Pajero GLX for just $1350 extra.
Unlike the 3.2-litre diesel-only Pajero GLX, the Pajero RX – first launched here last November and now reintroduced on June 8 – is also available with a 3.8-litre petrol V6.
Based on the Pajero GLX ($55,190 plus on-road costs), the RX adds 18-inch alloy wheels, front foglights, a rear spoiler, privacy glass, heated chromed door mirrors with integrated indicator and puddle lights, silver roof rails, a unique RX chromed grille, integrated side steps and front mudflaps, a chrome-highlighted bumper protector, a bonnet-mounted Mitsubishi badge and RX badging.
Additional interior features include rear air-conditioning, an auto-dimming rear view mirror, illuminated vanity mirrors, chromed door-pulls, titanium-look dash surround and power window control surrounds, an alloy gearshifter and the Mitsubishi Multi Communication System (MMCS) including satellite-navigation, reversing camera, Bluetooth connectivity, iPod cable and video input jack.
Available in Cool Silver, Black Mica, Warm White, Graphite and Ironbark exterior paint colours, the Pajero RX V6 costs $57,540 plus on-road costs ($3050 less than the entry-level petrol GLS) and the Pajero RX D-iD costs $59,540 plus on-road costs – $50 less than the mid-range diesel GLS.
A ‘Family Convenience Pack’ will also be available for the RX, priced at $1350 and including a rear-seat entertainment system (with two wireless headsets), dusk-sensing headlights, rain-sensing wipers and headlight washers.
