DAYS after the Jaguar I-Pace made its global debut at the Geneva motor show, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) Australia has confirmed full pricing for the pure-electric SUV ahead of its October arrival in local showrooms.
The I-Pace line-up opens with the S priced from $119,000 before on-road costs, rising to $130,200 and $140,800 for the mid-range SE and HSE respectively, while the limited First Edition flagship checks in from $159,700.
It undercuts its Tesla Model X rival, with the entry-level 75D commanding a sticker price of $140,202 driveaway, while the 100D wears a $172,884 pricetag.
For their spend, I-Pace S buyers are compensated with an extensive list of standard equipment, including LED headlights, 15-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels, eight-way power-adjustable Luxtec sport seats, a Touch Pro Duo infotainment system with dual 10.0- and 5.0-inch touchscreens, a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster and a 380W Meridian sound system.
Advanced driver-assist safety technologies extend to low-speed autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, park assist, rear cross-traffic alert and clear exit monitor.
Connectivity features include Remote, Navigation Pro, Connect Pro, Smartphone Pack, Secure Tracker and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot.
The SE variant adds six-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, premium LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, 10-way power-adjustable grained-leather sport seats with memory function, adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, high-speed autonomous emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.
Stepping up to the HSE expands kit to five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels with a Diamond Turned finish, Matrix LED headlights, 18-way power-adjustable Windsor leather sport seats, heated and cooled front seats, heated rear seats, a 825W 15-speaker Meridan sound system, steering assist and a 360-degree camera.
Sitting at the top of the tree, the First Edition also features five-split-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels with a Technical Grey finish, a fixed panoramic sunroof, interior ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, First Edition-branded scuff plates, glossy Charcoal Ash trim, heated washer jets, a heated windscreen and a heated steering wheel.
As previously reported, the I-Pace is motivated by two electric motors mounted on opposing axles that provide all-wheel-drive traction via an automatic transmission, with this set-up dubbed EV400.
Total system outputs are 294kW of power and 696Nm of torque, enabling a sprint from standstill to 100km/h in 4.8 seconds while on the way to a top speed of 200km/h.
A 90kWh lithium-ion battery pack stores electricity and offers up to 480 kilometres of driving range under the new WLTP regulations, while power consumption varies up to 21.2kWh per 100km.
Charging the battery pack from empty to 80 per cent takes about 40 minutes when a 100kW DC fast charger is used, while a 7kW AC regular charger requires more than ten hours to achieve the same result.
The underfloor placement of the electric motors and battery pack allows for extra interior storage, including a 10.5L central bin and 656L of cargo capacity – or 1453L when the rear seats are folded flat.
The I-Pace comes with a three-year/100,000km factory warranty as standard, while its battery pack has a longer eight-year/160,000km guarantee.
