Honda’s hot Civic Type R will return to Australia in late 2017 following the release of the tenth-generation Civic in 2016. It will go head-to-head with the likes of the Ford Focus RS, Volkswagen Golf R, Renault Megane RS275 and Peugeot 308 GTi 270.

Toyota's all-new Camry will be imported from Japan after the company ceases its Australian manufacturing operations. The sporty eighth-generation model will regain a V6 engine option in the wake of the Aurion's demise.

Chinese car-maker LDV will enter the popular one-tonne ute segment with its T60. Single- or dual-cab body styles, manual or automatic transmissions, and two- or four-wheel-drive drivelines will be offered.

Released: Oct 2017

Volkswagen is set to replace the retired CC with the stylish Arteon liftback sedan – which is also based on the Passat. It will be exclusively offered with a 206kW/350Nm 2.0-litre turbo-petrol four with all-wheel-drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch auto.
