Ford Ranger to get ESC

Safety first: Ford's Ranger to get electronic stability control in a first for a ute in Australia.

Ford breaks new ground with safety technology tipped for facelifted Ranger

17 Feb 2009

FORD is expected to become the first company to offer electronic stability control on a large mainstream ute when it launches a facelifted Ranger in Australia later this week.

The revised Ranger 4x2 and 4x4 ute range will include ESC, though not necessarily as standard, as well as side and head airbags.

Although none of the sheetmetal has changed, Ford says the facelifted Ranger will have a noticeable new look.
