Small changes to the grille and taillights were overshadowed by the introduction of two heavily revised engines from the XT Falcon range – a 101kW 3.6L/221ci I6 and 157kW 4.9L/302ci V8.
The base Fairlane was now known as the Custom.
Holden’s half-hearted response was the unhappy 1968 HK Brougham, which was simply a Premier with an elongated boot. Few Aussies were fooled, electing to go for the Fairlane instead.
10,708 ZBs were built.
