Car reviews - Mitsubishi - Magna - Ralliart sedan
24 Jun 2002
RALLIART Magna's Fujitsu Ten Eclipse sound system features AM/FM, the ability to play CDs individually or via the integrated in-dash six-CD stacker, clock, spectrum analyser, automatic loudness, an auxiliary input for MP3 and mini-disc player, 188 watts of system power and a high-visibility vacuum fluorescent display. But there's also difficult rotating dials for volume and station preset. Switching from AM to FM, or vice-versa, is also unnecessarily difficult. It looks the goods and delivers outstanding sound quality via no fewer than 14 speakers (including two front door speakers, two rear parcel shelf speakers, two dash tweeters and two smaller A-pillar tweeters), but is a pain to use. The automatic aerial is located on the left rear of the vehicle.

Did you know?In what Mitsubishi says is a first for the Australian market, the sound system can also be operated by a credit card-sized remote control unit. It is apparently also the first time Fujitsu Ten's new Eclipse audio system has been offered here
