Car reviews - Daihatsu - YRV - five-door hatch
Stand Out Features
31 Oct 2001
THIS is crossover territory, where a manufacturer blurs the distinction between traditional hatch, station wagon and mini-MPV. As a result, the YRV has some appealing features, not least of which is the large amount of interior space and seating versatility that includes a rear seat slide function. The list of standard features is high and the visual appeal tends to prompt a second look from passers-by. Among the disappointing aspects of the car are some niggling omissions such as steering wheel adjustment for the driver and a three-point seatbelt for the centre-rear passenger.
