Car reviews - Audi - TT - Coupe quattro
For its price the TT offers excellent performance and unbeatable style. If there's any major criticism to make it is that the TT quattro is almost too brutally efficient without the emotional response needed in a good sports car
A demanding but rewarding drive for the skilled operator with no vices apparent under our road conditions. Although not quite as accomplished as a Porsche 911 in some areas, it is half the price ... and a lot more than half the fun. And Audi's interior is better finished than Porsche's
Cliched it may sound, but the TT does handle as though it's on rails, regardless of the road surface or conditions.
It corners absolutely dead flat - at any speed. The combination of 17-inch rims with low-profile 45-series rubber leaves no doubt you are in a sports coupe and although the ride is firm it is surprisingly smooth and allows for maximum feedback when the car is pushed.
In terms of balance, grip and pure performance the TT quattro is right up there with the best
