John Cooper Works performance kit becomes available for Mini direct from the factory

THE John Cooper Works (JCW) tuning kit available as a dealer-fit option on Mini Cooper S models is now available direct from the production line in Oxford, England.

As well as the (154kW/254Nm) upgrade for the 1.6-litre supercharged engine, Australian customers also get a JCW brakes package, which includes bigger brake rotors and pistons, heavyduty brake pad linings and red-painted callipers.

Pricing is set at $8800 above the cost of the regular 125kW Cooper S tin-lid or cabrio model, and is available only with the standard six-speed manual transmission.
