2012 Ford Falcon EcoBoost Car Review

Overview

THIS drive has been a long time coming.

Ford has at last launched its first-ever four-cylinder Falcon, powered by a highly tuned version of its global 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine, also used here in the Mondeo. With more torque than the six-cylinder engines in the locally built Holden Commodore and Toyota Aurion, and with fuel consumption substantially lower than both, it looks strong on paper.

Indeed, it should give a substantial boost to Ford Australia as it strives to prove to the increasingly disinterested buying public that its large sedan offering remains relevant to their needs.

Model release date: April 2012
