FRONT and side airbags are provided for both front seat passengers. Lap-sash seatbelts with pyrotechnic pre-tensioning are standard for all five passengers. The front seatbelts are height adjustable. The seatbelts also have a special locking position for use when securing a child's seat. Headrests are standard for all five passengers also. Anti-lock braking Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) is standard. An Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) is also standard. The fuel tank is in a well-protected area ahead of the rear axle.
